Have I asked this before?

Where the eff are all the Dreamwidth proselytisers?  I see enthusiastic-for-DW folk, and folk on DW, and that's about it.  I read more complaints about proselytisers (and statements of "so therefore I'm not moving to DW!", thus further proving my "we are all 12" theory) than I have statements of how LJ sucks and everyone should move to DW *flounce*.

Mneh.

I think a lot of us who're reasonably satisfied with DW are really kind of tired of talking about LJ. *shrug* I really don't care what people want to do with or without LJ, as long as they stop trying to rope the rest of us into their dysfunctional relationship with their social networking provider.

I think there were more pro-DW posts about a year ago, but I do think it's one of those things where people see what they want to see, and if they have already convinced themselves that DW adopters are anti-LJ ranting scum, any minor reference to something good on DW will hit that trigger.

Also, when I have seen people posting about how LJ sucks and we should all move to DW, I think "hmm, convincing argument". But that may have something to do with the people I read and the quality of their writing, rather than the actual sentiment.

For instance, I love this post, but people who are still primarily on LJ seem to feel attacked by it.
